On Monday November 16th 2009, the Minister of Public Health and Social Development Mrs. Omayra Leeflang, invited persons 60 years and over living on St. Maarten and/or their representatives, to an informative session in regard to the so-called 60-plus sickness insurance.
A presentation was made by the minister as to the proposed changes to the Sickness Insurance Ordinance, the qualification and procedure to be followed in order for them to be insured.
