Based upon new information a comprehensive search led by the ‘Recherche Samenwerkingsteam’ (RST) will be conducted shortly in order to locate the possible bodily remains of Leta Lynn Cordes. The search will take place with the cooperation of the French authorities.
American national Leta Lynn Cordes who was living in St. Maarten has been missing since Friday, January 11th 2008 around 11:00 PM.
During the search the RST will be supported by Dutch, French and U.S. police officers. Most of these officers are highly trained divers, specialized in tracing and recovering bodily remains.
The search team will make use of advanced sonar equipment that can be applied in deep as well as in shallow waters.
